TAN( ) IS INTERESTING.

Tan() is a measure of how sloping an object/influence is.

Sin( ) is the perpendicular component of that object/influence.

Cos( ) is the parallel component of that object/influence.

To make an object more sloping, don't you have to make it more and more perpendicular w.r.t the ground.

This increases the value of Sin( ).....for Sin( ) is the perpendicular component of any object/influence.

At the same time, the value of Cos( ) reduces. Cos( ) is the parallel component of any object/influence.

The more and more perpendicular you make the ladder w.r.t the ground....the less and less parallel you make it w.r.t the ground, isn't it ? In (When Sin( ) increases ------> Cos( ) will decrease)

Similarly,

The more and more parallel you make the ladder w.r.t the ground...the less and less perpendicular you make it w.r.t ground.

So, Tan( ) is directly proportional to Sin( ) or the perpendicular component.

And

Tan ( ) is inversely proportional to Cos( ) or the parallel component.

The above is an excerpt from these eBooks that i have written.
